What is Communities Making Meadows?

Communities Making Meadows is a capacity building program that connects people with local ecosystems through the selection and growing of native plant seedlings for meadow and riparian restoration. Communities Making Meadows is a series of micronurseries that will produce native plants for outplanting in local restoration programs.

Some of the plants you grow are yours to keep, some will be shared with organizations and schools doing restoration projects.

The knowledge gathered by all participants will be shared and contribute to increasing all our knowledge about growing native plants in the West Kootenays.
