This field trip may be of special interest to First Nations students, and Aboriginal Support Workers are encouraged to accompany us with their students.

In addition to presentations and field trips, the Kootenay Native Plant Society is working with a local school to grow camas and other native plants for future restoration programs. We can help individual instructors and schools start their own native plants and pollinator gardens, or lead interpretive walks focused on native plants, ethnobotany and other topics.
